Art FLow Residency program

“Art Flow Residency Program” was officially proposed and launched by Tai Art Center in 2022 to encourage creators from outside the Yangtze River Delta to engage in continuous artistic practice and academic  research in Shanghai. Through the Art  Flow Art  District platform, we support artists in adapting to a new environment  by providing favorable conditions for residency, opportunities for exchange, and a platform for showcasing their work.  The   residency  culminates   in  an  exhibition   presenting  the  outcomes  of  their residency.  This   program   offers   a   foundation   and   platform   for  experimental   and cross-cultural dialogue.

1. Creative Support
1) Studio:Individual or shared studio.

2 )Living Amenities: Equipped kitchen, bathroom, and private bedroom to support daily life.

3)  Sports Facilities: Access to free fitness facilities, a badminton court, and a basketball court in the district.

4) Artist Networking: Regular art salons within the district.

5) Development Platform: Tai Art Center organizes various growth opportunities, including academic salons, lectures, art creation and sharing workshops, studio visits from experts, and artist referrals for interaction with the Shanghai art community.

6) Artist Interview: Art Flow team will conduct a video interview with each selected artist during the residency.

7) Artist Exhibition: Upon residency completion, depending on factors such as the volume and theme of works, an exhibition will be organized for each artist, with Tai Art Center covering exhibition costs and media promotion.

2. Residency Management

1)  Selected  artists   must  sign  the  Art   Flow   Residency  Program  Agreement  and  the Residency Safety Agreement.

2) Residents are subject to daily management by Art Flow Art District and adhere to its residency implementation and management guidelines.

3. Residency Requirements

1) Residents must comply with the district's management guidelines.

2)  Residents  are  required  to  organize  or  participate  in  at  least  one  public  event  and collaborate on academic activities during their stay.

3) Upon residency completion, an exhibition may be arranged to showcase their work, which will be promoted through professional media.

4) Each artist is required to donate at least 4 square meters of hand-drawn work to Tai Art Center. For 3D works, dimensions will be negotiated with the artist. If the work does not pass review, an alternative donation will be selected.

4. Documents Required for the Application

1) Email Content: Include the following in the body of the email:

- Reason for application

- Artistic focus

2) Attachments:

-  Updated  Resume  in  Chinese:  Must  include  personal  details,  contact  information, education background, and description of key works (at least five).

- Portfolio: In PDF format, not exceeding 30MB; include links for video-based artworks.

- Residency Proposal: Including project title, concept summary, timeline, content, etc.

- Submission Address: taiartcenter@icloud.com; submit documents titled in the format “School- Residency-Name”

5. Residency Selection

The academic committee organized by Tai Art Center and Art Flow Art District will conduct a review, with online interviews for some applicants. Results will be announced on Art Flow’s official WeChat platform. We will confirm receipt of applications within 3 working days and notify applicants for online interviews within 5 working days after the application deadline. No notification implies an unsuccessful application.

艺河湾驻留项目

“Art Flow  艺河湾驻留计划”是泰艺术中心在 2022 年正式提出并启动 ，意在鼓励远离长三  角地区的创作者以艺术驻留的方式走进上海， 在艺术领域进行持续的创作实践和学术研究， 借助艺河湾艺术区自身平台 ， 我们帮助艺术家适应新的环境 ， 为驻留创作提供良好的条件、 交流契机与展示平台 ， 最终以展览的形式呈现创作成果。Art Flow  艺河湾驻留项目本身就  为实验性和跨文化交流与对话提供了支点和平台。

1.创作支持

1 ） 工作室： 个人或共享工作室

2 ） 生活支持：提供厨房设备、 卫生间和独立卧室， 可满足日常生活

3 ） 运动设施： 园区拥有健身房、 羽毛球场和篮球场免费提供给艺术家使用 

4 ） 艺术家交流： 定期组织园区艺术沙龙活动

5 ）成长平台：驻留期间泰艺术中心将通过举办学术沙龙、学术讲座、艺术创作与分享工作 坊、工作室专家走访、驻留艺术家推荐等形式为驻留艺术家搭建成长平台，提供驻留艺术家 与上海艺术家群体进行交流学习的机会

6 ） 艺术家专访：驻留期间艺河湾团队将为入选艺术家拍摄艺术专访

7 ） 艺术家展览：驻留结束后 ， 视具体情况 （作品量、 主题等） 将为入选艺术家举办展览， 泰艺术中心将提供展览费用和媒体支持

2.驻留管理

1 ）入选驻留计划者将与我们签订《艺河湾艺术驻留计划协议书》《驻留期间安全协议书》。 

2 ）入选驻留计划者接受艺河湾艺术区日常管理，按照《艺河湾艺术驻留计划实施与管理办  法》 规定进行管理。

3.驻留要求

1 ） 驻留期间遵守艺河湾艺术区管理办法、驻留管理要求。

2 ） 驻留期间需至少组织参与一次公众活动 ， 配合驻留期间开展的学术活动。

3 ）驻留结束后，视具体情况（作品量、主题等）将为驻留艺术家举办展览 ，并通过专业媒 体进行宣传推广。

4 ）驻留结束，每位艺术家须至少留赠总尺寸 4 平方米以上的手绘作品给泰艺术中心；如留  赠立体作品， 尺寸以泰艺术中心与艺术家具体协商结果为准。 如作品未通过艺术中心审核， 则另选作品进行捐赠审核。

4. 申请方式及材料递交

2  ） 附件部分：

○ 最新个人简历（中文）：需包含个人信息、联系方式、 申请人简历须有完整的联系方式、 教育背景介绍和迄今为止的主要作品介绍 （不少于五件）

○ 作品集： PDF 文档格式 （不超过 30MB） ， 影像艺术作品在  PDF  内需附上网站链接。

○ 驻留计划书 （需包含计划名称、概念简述、 时间安排、 内容等）

○ 发送邮件： taiartcenter@icloud.com ， 提交电子文档以 “毕业院校-驻留-姓名”为序命 名 （如“川美-驻留-张正”）

5.驻留评审

由艺河湾艺术区泰艺术中心组织学术委员会进行评选，对于部分申请人材料，将采取线上面 试的方式进行。 评审结果将在艺河湾艺术区公众微信平台上公示。

我们将在收到简历申请 3 个工作日内回复是否收到，申请截止日期后 5 个工作日内通知线上 面试 ， 未收到视为未申请成功。
